Lip Enhancement
At the Lazer Room, we only use hyaluronic acid fillers in the lips: we avoid permanent fillers such as Artecoll due to their propensity to form granuloma ( bumps) which can only be removed surgically.
Dr Hyland prefers to maintain natural contours and proportions; there are classical proportions for each ethnic type
eg typically Caucasians will have a ⅓ upper lip ⅔ lower lip ratio , while persons of African extraction have more natural fullness on the upper lip
The recent fashion in the USA for grossly disproportionate upper lips distorts the archetypal facial proportions and is subconsciously interpreted as odd by the onlooker: nevertheless subtle enhancements that stay within classical proportions can give the person a more sensual appearance.
Tip --- two little tricks that give a more sensual look to the lips are building up the philtrae - the vertical lines that lie between the Cupid’s Bow of the upper lip and the nose; and using a tiny dose of Botox in the upper lip to create a pout
