Drooping Eyelids
The position of the eyebrows depends on the balance of the muscle pulling up the eyebrows (Frontalis), and the muscles pulling them down. In order to raise the eyebrows, the doctor will inject centrally between the eyebrows (procerus muscle) and at the side of the eyebrow (orbicularis occuli muscle), thus weakening the pull downwards, and allowing the frontalis muscle to naturally elevate the brows. This is known as a Botox Browlift
Tip --- Men or women with low brows and heavy horizontal forehead lines should not have Botox in the forehead, as that will further lower the position of the brow. Instead, the doctor may inject a little filler (Juvederm or Sculptra) under the outer aspect of the eyebrows to help raise them; or use a skin tightening laser such as Accent XL or Smartxide Dot resurfacing laser.
Really low brows may require a surgical browlift
