Localized Fat
Short of surgery or laser assisted liposuction, a non invasive alternative is Accent XL laser.
The unipolar head, which allows penetration of energy into the deep subcutaneous fat, will shrink the fat cells. Note patients are advised to follow a healthy diet , as putting on weight can result in regaining the lost volume, as unlike surgery , the fat cells are not physically removed.
Results can be augmented with Mesotherapy/Lipodissolve - microinjections comprising of phosphtidyl choline, hyaluronidase/collagenase, insulin-like growth factor, and carnitine, which break down fat cells and encourage the metabolism of fatty acids in the area.
NOTE --- this type of treatment is not meant for large volumes of fat - the ideal candidates are those at or near their ideal body weight , with localized fatty deposits eg saddle bags, muffin tops, fat in the inner upper thighs, medial aspect of the knees,small tummy pouches, shaping the buttocks etc.
